The other man featured in <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/trump-recorded-having-extremely-lewd-conversation-about-women-in-2005/2016/10/07/3b9ce776-8cb4-11e6-bf8a-3d26847eeed4_story.html?hpid=hp_hp-top-table-main_trumptape-404pm%3Ahomepage%2Fstory">that vulgar 2005 video of Donald Trump talking about women</a> is Billy Bush.

People might recognize Bush from his new gig on the "Today" show or "Access Hollywood." But there is, of course, another part of his bio that is thick with irony: He's a member of the Bush family. Yes, <em>that</em> Bush family.

Billy Bush is first cousins with former Florida governor Jeb Bush, who was favored to win the Republican nomination before Trump came along and started calling him "low-energy" and attacking him daily on the stump.

That means Billy Bush is also first cousins with former president George W. Bush, who Trump has <a href="http://www.politico.com/blogs/south-carolina-primary-2016-live-updates-and-results/2016/02/gop-debate-2016-trump-911-219260">suggested is to blame for 9/11</a> and who started an Iraq War that Trump has labeled a disaster.

And he's a nephew of former president George H.W. Bush, who has reportedly said he <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/06/30/heres-the-growing-list-of-big-name-republicans-supporting-hillary-clinton/">will support Hillary Clinton over Trump</a>, and former first lady Barbara Bush, <a href="http://www.cnn.com/2016/02/05/politics/barbara-bush-jeb-bush-donald-trump/">who has said "I'm sick of" Trump</a> and that she doesn't know how women can vote for him.

None of the Bushes is backing Trump in this campaign. And those who have tried have failed to halt his momentum.

To be sure, the Bush family probably won't enjoy this newly unearthed video all that much; Billy Bush also says some objectifying things about women and seems to be egging Trump on as Trump talks about his exploits. "Yeah those legs, all I can see is the legs," Bush says at one point, adding: "Oof, get out of the way, honey."

And look, we're long past the point where we can predict any one thing will be Trump's undoing. Despite controversy after controversy, Trump has kept his electoral base intact, won the GOP nomination, and is now at least competitive when it comes to winning the presidency.

But if this <em>is</em> the thing that is remembered as having ended his shot at the presidency, the fact that his downfall came via a conversation with Jeb and George W. Bush's cousin is a pretty remarkable footnote in political history.
